Cloud database monitoring is typically managed through monitoring checks, alerts, and performance metrics. These metrics and alerts are usually part of the cloud database monitoring tool.

It measures, analyzes and records;

  • Database throughput ( In / Out)
  • Database availability
  • Database connections / sessions
  • Configuring alarms and triggers that are activated whenever an alert / threshold / event condition is met.
  • Other than performance, cloud database monitoring might also monitor and analyze security events.
