Definition of Cloud Storage Server

Cloud Storage server is a type of server that stores and manages data for a cloud storage service or provider. It is part of cloud storage infrastructure.  It can be used for all cloud storage models including private, public and hybrid cloud storage models. 

Brief Description of Cloud Storage Server

Cloud storage server is primarily used to store and provide access to subscribers data. It can also be used to run cloud storage server end software which manages the operations on the cloud storage. Typically a cloud storage server houses data from multiple cloud storage subscribers unless it is a dedicated storage server. The data is stored in a multi-tenant architecture. It usually has bulk amount of storage capacity, processing power and network interface to service multiple users. Besides directly accessing it through a client software, it can also be accessed through API’s.
