Definition of Cloud TV

Cloud TV is an open application platform that allows users to create and distribute television applications from the network to video products that include televisions and portable devices etc. the set-top box sends key clicks to the cloud via a standard remote control. It provides consumer electronics manufacturers and cable operators to deliver web-based navigation and advertisements like a normal television set.

Brief Description of Cloud TV

Cloud TV refers to a platform that allows electronics manufacturers and cable vendors to  provides rich navigation and other features of television and the Web based content to cable digital set-top boxes, electronic connected to the web and televisions with CI-Plus activated in them as a single stream. It consolidates the personal social Web experience. It requires the traditional remote control method of navigation and requires a small footprint software client as part of the end user device.
