What is LIFI?

LIFI is a data transmitting technology which uses LED’s (Light emitting diodes) for transmission of data.

How LIFI does works?

LIFI is a optical network facility which utilizes ordinary light bulbs with an additional chip that helps in modulation of data to be transmitted optically.

Two different components are used for data transmission and reception. LED bulbs are responsible for data transmission whereas photoreceptors receive the data transmitted by those bulbs.

LIFI is enabling transmission of 10 Gbps (giga bits per second) which is a very faster data transmission rate.
