What is Lotus Live?

Definition of Lotus

Lotus Live is a suite of cloud based online services and applications for businesses. It provides web based collaboration, email and social networking applications and services, delivered as SaaS. It is an IBM product and is part of the Smart Cloud portfolio. The entire solution and services stack is hosted, managed and delivered through IBM data center or cloud infrastructure.

Brief Description of Lotus Live

Lotus Live primarily consists of business collaboration and networking tools that provide work group collaboration and communication applications. It is designed for project management, sales and marketing services. Some of the services / features it provides includes;

Lotus Live Connections: Enables creation of an internal social network with the profile, contacts, communities and other social network features.

Lotus Live Engage: Provides web conferencing, instant messaging, and file sharing services.

Lotus Live Meetings: Online meetings creation and management application.

The Lotus Live cloud collaboration suite also includes Lotus Live Notes and iNotes application that provisions email, calendar, contacts and events management solution.  It can also be integrated with a number of the third party add-on applications such as Skype, Sugar CRM, and Salesforce.
