Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) is a software enables in running multiple machines with different platforms to run a single computer task that is distributed. It is effective in creating high level computing power from a distributed parallel processor at a low cost. It is suitable for operations that require high accuracy.

Brief Description of PVM

The parallel virtual machine which is also known as PVM is a software program created at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the year 1989. It used to run different machines with different operating systems or platforms as a single distributed task via a network. It enables the high standard of computation to take place with accuracy and at a minimal cost by utilizing aggregate power and memory of different computers.
