Definition of Private Cloud Server

Private cloud server is a type of server that is deployed, hosted and used within a private cloud environment. It can be used in multiple ways or any possible way a server can be used. Such as a storage server, application server or part of a large server cluster.

A private cloud server can be deployed within the organization or sourced as a private ( unshared) server from a cloud service provider. When deployed external to the organization- virtual private server (VPS) and dedicated servers are its prominent deployment models. The VPS has the ability to scale to more on demand resources when needed. However the dedicated server is limited only to the base computing,

However the dedicated server is limited only to the base computing, storage and networking capacity. When deployed internally, it is hosted and maintained entirely by the organizations internal cloud / IT staff. Regardless of the deployment model and the way being used, the server’s resources are not shared with other users of the cloud providers.
