  1. Web Services API’s
  2. Thin Client Applications

Public cloud storage that is delivered through API’s is designed to be used for web applications.  Such API’s enable accessing and scaling storage at run time and to ensure administrative control over cloud stored data.  The thin client applications provide end users a mean to backup and store their local data on remote cloud storage. The application is installed on a local machine (computer, server, tablet etc) or is accessed as a SaaS and enables copying and synching data; to and from device to the public cloud storage.
