Definition of Azure Service Platform

Windows Azure Service platform is a podium where a variety of Microsoft applications and services resides, providing the backend framework for designing feature-rich applications hosted on Microsoft and other infrastructures. A cloud based operating system functions on the Azure Service platform, the components in this platform comprises of, SQL Azure for targeted cloud database management, SharePoint Services, Dynamic Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Services, and AppFabric.

Brief description of Azure Service Platform

Azure is introduced by Microsoft in October 2008. The cloud platform was termed as Windows Azure, and renamed as Microsoft Azure in April 2014.

Azure service platform claims to render best services in their genre like via Azure App service you can create consolidated apps for business web and mobile apps that can be deployed in authentic cloud environment whereas Azure Virtual Machine employs a window server or Linux image in the cloud settings .It also functions in Database as a Service contributions for SQL and NoSQL, through such service you can also work with distributed analytics and storage. The Azure Service platform provides on-demand streaming, encoding and media indexing.
