Definition of Virtualization Server

Virtualization Server is a type of server that enables in creating and managing virtualization environment. It provides the physical computing, virtualization software and network capability to deploy and host virtual machines. It is similar to a cloud server but mainly hosts or support virtual machines or virtualization infrastructure.

Brief Description of Virtualization Server

Virtualization server is installed with a virtual machine manager and enables deploying and hosting multiple virtual machines. Depending upon the physical capabilities and the virtualization software /technology used, it can host from few virtual machines to hundreds.  Apart from installing virtual machine monitor / manager software, it is also installed with a server end operating system with native virtualization capabilities.
